What God Showed Us Reading the Bible in 30 Days

When we started the Read the Bible in 30 Days challenge, we didn’t know exactly what to expect.

What we did know was this:

We wanted to be in God’s Word — consistently, intentionally, and together.

Thirty days later, something beautiful happened.

As we reflected on the month together, it became clear that what God showed us reading the Bible in 30 days went far beyond finishing a reading plan; it reshaped how we see Scripture as a whole.

What God Showed Us Reading the Bible in 30 Days

What God Showed Us Reading the Bible in 30 Days Was Perspective, Not Speed

Reading Scripture this way allowed many of us to see something we’d never seen before: the Bible as one unified story.

Creation.

Brokenness.

Promise.

Redemption.

Hope.

Books that once felt confusing began to make sense when read in context. Themes repeated themselves. God’s character stood firm across generations.

What once felt fragmented became connected.

God Met Us in Different Ways

Some participants read every chapter.

Some listened more than they read.

Some missed days and came back anyway.

And still — God met us.

We saw:

  • Renewed hunger for Scripture

  • Greater confidence in opening the Bible

  • A deeper understanding of God’s faithfulness

  • Freedom from guilt around “doing it perfectly”

That is fruit worth celebrating.

What Many People Said Surprised Them Most

Again and again, the same themes emerged:

  • “I finally understand how the Old and New Testaments connect.”

  • “I feel less intimidated by the Bible now.”

  • “I didn’t realize how patient and consistent God is.”

  • “This changed how I read Scripture moving forward.”

The Word did exactly what it promises to do — it spoke, corrected, encouraged, and revealed God’s heart.

This Challenge Was Never the Finish Line

Reading the Bible in 30 days was not meant to be an ending.

It was a beginning.

A reset.

A reminder.

A foundation.

From here, many will move into deeper study, slower reading, and new rhythms with Scripture, and that is exactly the point.

Looking Ahead

This challenge confirmed something important:

God’s people are hungry for His Word.

They just need structure, encouragement, and permission to start again.

If you missed this round, don’t worry, more opportunities are coming.

And if you joined us, thank you for walking this journey with such openness and faithfulness.

Let’s keep going.

With gratitude,

Ruth
